Aston Villa v Man City

Villa give late fitness tests to top scorer Yorke (calf) and Taylor (thigh). If Taylor, who is lined up to deputise for broken-leg victim Charles, is ruled out, Murray could be drafted in for his second appearance of the season. Manchester City manager Ball has named a 15-man squad and must decide whether Kavelashvili or Rosler will partner Quinn in attack.

Blackburn v Arsenal

Blackburn will be without strike pair Shearer (groin operation) and Newell (hamstring), so Fenton is likely to partner Gallacher in attack. Defender Coleman, who picked up an ankle injury during Wales' 2-0 defeat in Switzerland, faces a late test. Youngsters Beattie, Thomas and Duff have been added to the squad. Arsenal's transfer-listed Northern Ireland defender Morrow is set to take over from suspended Marshall. Hartson may be recalled to partner Wright up front.

Bolton v Southampton

De Freitas will be handed the daunting task of shooting Bolton towards a Premiership lifeline. The Dutch striker will take over the lone forward role in place of suspended Welsh international Blake. Southampton manager Merrington has selection worries. Although defender Hall is set to return after a seven-match absence with a calf injury, he is without the suspended duo of Venison and Walters, while there are injury doubts over Magilton, Charlton, Neilson and Watson.

Liverpool v Middlesbrough

Thomas is likely to return for Liverpool as full-back McAteer serves a one-match suspension. Rush is almost certain to be a substitute in what will be his final home match. Miller keeps his place in goal for Middlesbrough as they attempt to complete the double over Liverpool. Fjortoft could return in attack, but midfield player Mustoe and striker Hendrie are ruled out through injury.

QPR v West Ham

Queen's Park Rangers have both Bardsley and Impey suspended, so player- manager Wilkins may well decide to recall himself. The Hammers have problems too. Manager Redknapp, who signed a new five-year extension to his contract yesterday, has midfielders Bishop, Slater, Dumitrescu and defender Whitbread all injured, while striker Dowie is suspended. Former Sutton striker Watson has been called into a 15-man squad.

Sheff Wed v Everton

Wednesday have Newsome suspended, so Atherton replaces him in defence, with Nicol coming in at right-back. Waddle has tonsillitis. Midfield man Hyde and striker Kovacevic come back into contention. Teenagers Branch and O'Connor could get their chance for Everton, who have Horne and Hinchliffe suspended, while Ferguson is ruled out for the rest of the season through injury. Stuart is likely to make his comeback after a leg injury.

Tottenham v Chelsea

Anderton is set for his first Spurs start in seven months. Scotland centre- back Calderwood is back in contention after missing five matches with knee ligament trouble, while Sinton is pushing for a recall after a two- match absence. Full-back Austin is still missing with a knee injury. For Chelsea, Romanian international Petrescu returns after a two-match absence with calf trouble and replaces the suspended Duberry.

Wimbledon v Coventry

Defender Blackwell, utility man Ardley and prolific reserve striker Euell, have been included in the Wimbledon squad. With defenders Buust and Rennie out for the rest of the season through injury, Coventry now have Borrows and Daish under suspension. Williams (calf muscle injury) is rated a major doubt and midfielder Richardson limped out of training yesterday with a knee injury.

TOMORROW

Man Utd v Nottm Forest

United will be without the suspended Butt and Bruce for Sunday's final home game. Irwin and Neville should be fit after recovering from injury scares. Dutch striker Roy is set to return for Forest after a three-match absence with a hamstring strain.
