Henman finds rich seam of form
Tim Henman booked his place in the final of the President's Cup in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, yesterday after knocking out Nicholas Escude. The British No 1, who won the title last year, now faces the Russian top seed Yevgeny Kafelnikov. Henman struggled in the first set before finding his form to beat Escude 3-6 6-2 6-4. Kafelnikov had earlier outplayed another Frenchman, Cedric Pioline, 6-2 6-2. The world No 1, Martina Hingis, beat Conchita Martinez 6-4 6-4 to put Switzerland level 1-1 with Spain in the Fed Cup final in Geneva. Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario had opened Spain's bid for the title with a 6-2 3-6 6-2 win over Patty Schnyder.
