Tennis: Tiriac's claim to manage Becker debnied
A lawyer representing Boris Becker yesterday denied claims by Ion Tiriac that he was still manager of the three-times Wimbledon champion. 'The contracts that Ion Tiriac cites do not stand up to a legal review,' said Axel Meyer-Woelden, a Munich sports lawyer who has been tipped as Becker's likely new manager. Meyer-Woelden said in a statement he had been authorised by Becker 'to represent his interests'.
