The men’s Wimbledon singles finals will be fought out between Andy Murray and Milos Raonic on Sunday after the British No 1 saw off the lacklustre challenge of Tomas Berdych in under two hours, with Canadian Raonic beating Roger Federer in a thrilling five-set semi-final that swung in both directions. Murray now has the chance to win a third Grand Slam title, in his first ever final that is not against either Federer or Novak Djokovic. Re-live the action here.

Roger Federer 3-6 6-6 (3-2) Milos Raonic

Raonic loses the point with a whipped forehand shot from the baseline that crashes straight into the net. He makes his opponent work for the next point though and pushes Federer further and further towards the left with each forehand shot. It eventually proves too much for the Swiss who nets his backhand attempt.

Roger Federer 3-6 6-6 (7-3) Milos Raonic

Federer takes it to set point after some impressive service play coupled with some big forehand shots. It's Raonic who hands him the set though as he approaches the net for a backhand shot but sends his effort glaringly wide of the tramline. Federer takes the set.

*Roger Federer 3-6 6-6 (7-3) 0-1 Milos Raonic

After botching his first serve he struggles with Federer's forehand shot on the second which vounces awkwardly up in front at him. He snatches at it on the backhand but it drops wide of the tramline. Three back-to-back aces (yes, you read that right) takes it 40-15. Federer manages to return the next serve but it sets up Raonic perfectly for a forehand smash from the centre of the court. The Swiss scrambles to his right to meet it but his return lands at the base of the net. Game to Raonic.

Milos Raonic has made history today to overcome one of the game's greats. His huge-hitting forehands and powerful serves ultimately made the difference. As seen below, Raonic becomes the first Canadian man to reach a Grand Slam final and can expect to face either Murray or Berdych who play next.

The Scot received a huge cheer as he walked out onto a half-empty Centre, as spectators dashed off for a breather after that first semi-final.

A Murray 1-0 T Berdych*The Scot opens up on serve and wins the first point before being pegged back. Some impressive running and bet play takes him 30-15 up and that is quickly seen out for the first game.
