Five of Conor McGregor's best UFC fights

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier headlined UFC 264 on Saturday night as they aimed to settle their rivalry, though the trilogy bout did not end as either man would have hoped.

During his surge towards the UFC featherweight title, McGregor knocked out Poirier in the first round of a 2014 contest, before the American (27-6) exacted his revenge at lightweight this January, stopping ‘Notorious’ in the second round.

A back-and-forth first round at UFC 264 ended with McGregor injuring his ankle and unable to continue, as Poirier was declared the winner via doctor stoppage.

At the very least, McGregor can expect some healthy monetary compensation.

How much will each fighter make?

No official purses have been disclosed for the UFC 264 main event, but Poirier has said he could make “five, six, seven, ten times” more money by fighting McGregor than he would have made from a lightweight title fight.

McGregor’s payout from his second clash with Poirier was reported to be around $3million. He is likely to receive a similar base pay here.
