The National Football League has announced three games for the International Series in london next year.

Three new teams and a new stadium will be part of the trio of games for British and European NFL fans, with the games to be played on 2 October and then back-to-back on 23 and 30 October.

One team, from the NFC East - which includes the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys - is still to be announced.

The first game will be a AFC South divisional matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars, at Wembley Stadium for the fourth year in a row, against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, who have not been to the UK before, on 2 October.

The game on 23 October will be the first game at Twickenham Stadium, between the St Louis Rams, who last played in London in 2012, and whichever team from the NFC East finishes in the same place in the standings as the Rams.

A week later fans at Wembley Stadium will get to see two teams who have yet to play in the UK before - the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Redskins.

“The passion our UK fans have shown for the NFL is overwhelming,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We are very appreciative of the strong and growing fan support, not only for the games, but for all of the related NFL events we host in the UK throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming new fans to their first NFL game in 2016 and welcoming back thousands of others that are helping our sport grow to new levels of popularity in London and beyond.”

Game times will be announced at a later date as will the possibility of an International Series game being played outside of the UK.
