Mobile firms appeal against Ofcom ruling
Three mobile phone operators have appealed against Ofcom's order that they must cut mobile termination rates so that customers pay less to call users on other networks.
Vodafone, Everything Everywhere and Three lodged appeals with the Competition Appeal Tribunal but O2 chose not to. The companies have raised different objections to the ruling that came into force last month.
Some claimed it made pay-as-you-go contracts uneconomical while others criticised the method used to calculate the new charges.
