LittleBigPlanet 2 character Sackboy is dressing up as some of his favorite film icons in advance of the PlayStation 3 game's January 18 release in North America and January 19 release in Europe.
A total of twenty-four films are to be parodied, eight of them popping up in PlayStation Europe's first video as the cuddly Sackboy dons blue facepaint, a martial arts uniform, a bionic eye and a pair of natty aviator shades, among other props.
The family-friendly LittleBigPlanet 2 is one of Sony's great hopes for 2011, naming it along with February's Killzone 3 in its response to a report on 2010's video game and console sales figures.
Nintendo shouldn't be too worried about the PlayStation exclusive - they have bigger fish to fry, as the Nintendo 3DS launches in Japan on February 26 and then in North America and Europe sometime in March.
Microsoft also has eyes on a broader, more family-oriented customer base, as evidenced by the continuing success of the Kinect hands-free camera controller for the Xbox 360, along with games like Kinectimals and Dance Central.
