Twitter abuzz with the news of Elizabeth Taylor's death, Harry Houdini birthday tweets

Tributes are pouring out on Twitter as microbloggers around the world learn of the "violet-eyed beauty's" death.

The top "RIP Elizabeth Taylor" tweets include "'When people say, 'She's got everything', I've got one answer - I haven't had tomorrow.' RIP Elizabeth Taylor," "RIP Dame Elizabeth Taylor, surely the last of a breed..." and "RIP Elizabeth Taylor, you gorgeous woman you."

"HTC Evo" continues its reign in the top of Twitter's most talked about topics on the morning of March 24.

Consumer electronics maker HTC is using the term to promote its newly announced Evo View 4G tablet and Evo 3D smartphone.

The hashtags "#100factsaboutme," "#stoprightthere" and "#cosasquemeponendebuenas" fill second, third and fourth places in the chart while the name of teenage singer "Rebecca Black" is firmly cemented in fifth place.

Microbloggers are celebrating what would be the 137th birthday of escape artist extraordinaire "Harry Houdini" by tweeting "It's Harry Houdini's 137th Birthday today. If he was alive he would cut the cake in half, and then he'd put it back together again. Ta dahh!" and commenting, "Rebecca Black. Not even Harry Houdini could get out of the mess you've made for yourself."

The name of Action Item band member "Mark Shami" is in sixth place, the name of Canadian singer "Alexz Johnson" is in ninth place and TV series " Law & Order" is in tenth place.
