Weekly global technology agenda: Hannover Messe, Facebook F8

The world's biggest industrial fair, Hannover Messe will take place during week of April 19. Social networking news will be buzzing too as Facebook makes some big announcements at its annual F8 developers' conference. In Europe, the 38th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva will be host to more than 1000 inventions from across the globe.

"Efficiency - Innovation - Sustainability" is the motto for Hannover Messe in 2010. The annual event is the world's biggest industrial fair and is home to the latest industrial technology innovations. More than 4,600 enterprises from 63 nations will be featuring technical innovations that exhibit this year's key features of energy, mobility and automation. In addition to the large showcase of new materials, industry developments and emerging trends at the Hannover Messe, there will be a strong emphasis on education and careers. Organizers are hosting an event called "Qualifications Life" which will help people working in the industry keep up-to-date on the latest advances and provide an opportunity for job seekers to connect with future employers.

Facebook F8 Conference

The 30th edition of Computex Taipei, is organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council and the Taiwan Computer Association. It is now the largest computer exhibition in Asia, second in the world only to CeBIT in Germany.
