Jerzy Janowicz's remarkable run in Paris ended in today's final when Spain's David Ferrer claimed the first Masters Series title of his career. The 6ft 8in Janowicz, whose five top 20 victims en route to the final included Andy Murray, was beaten 6-4, 6-3 as the Spaniard – by a full 11 inches the shorter man on court yesterday – won his seventh title of the season.
