The founding editor of Fast Company magazine and author of a new book called 'Rules of Thumb' says that overcoming fear is the surest way to find success in business. One of his rules, "When the going gets tough, the tough relax", was inspired  by an interview he conducted with former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt while he was applying for the job of managing editor of the Harvard Business Review--which he got.
