LETTER : Ahead in the lottery game

Sir: In view of the controversy surrounding the Churchill papers, as highlighted in your survey today ("Public dismay at Churchill papers sale", 2 May), might I suggest a method of solving it that would enter fully into the spirit of the National Lottery?

Instead of making the payment in pounds, it should be made in scratch cards. The Churchill family could then take their chances with the rest of us.
