UNTIL the practice of paying enforced overtime for junior doctors at less than standard pay rates is abandoned (at present overtime is paid at 50 per cent), then hospital managers will see it as better to keep doctors on the greatest possible number of overtime hours (' 'New deal' for junior doctors falls apart' 12 July).
