Letter: Anti-racist allies

Sir: I was interested in Bill Morris's suggestion (Letters, 3 March) that the various elements of the criminal justice system join together to combat racism.

As chairman of HMP Woodhill's Race Relations management team, I, for one, would be eager to participate and build on the work which we have already undertaken, joining together with the local Racial Equality Council to launch 'Milton Keynes Unites Against Racism'; using the prison's community hall as a conference centre for anti-racist training; and having ex-prisoners and serving prisoners - both black and white - work on the committee that governs the prison's work on this very important issue.

Yours sincerely,

Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
