Letter: Art and iconoclasm
Sir: Having just seen the "Sensation" exhibition at the Royal Academy I have emerged feeling manipulated and undernourished.
The most prevalent quality of the show is lack of emotional maturity. The works over and over again reveal an obsession with the egoistic self. Most artists in the show can find no will to go beyond this seductive state. And, being stunted in their own development, they can find no means to open the door to genuine inspiration and innovative ideas.
