LETTER: Born to be a vicar
From Mr Robert J. W. Poole
Sir: How I empathise with Martin Castle (Letters, 11 August). Married to a newly ordained priest, I am now frequently introduced as the curate's husband: and as a 58-year-old man running my own full-time business, it seems very odd, so late in life, to be asked how my rock cakes and cucumber sandwiches are coming along.
Yours bemusedly,
Robert J. W. Poole
