YOUR headline 'Accents is awright' (13 March) falls into the same pit that spawned the abominable Yobspik.
Accents are fine; they enrich a language. It is the pronunciation prevalent today which must put the British among the worst speakers of the language anywhere.
'Awright' is not all right, whatever the accent. Neither is 'behhah' for 'better'. Most Americans, whatever their accent, articulate our language much better than we do.
