Sir: Gerry Adams can deliver republicans to the negotiating table; the British government cannot deliver loyalists thereto. Thus republicans are more loyal to Gerry Adams than are the loyalists to Britain. To whom are the loyalists loyal? Can a house divided against itself stand?
