Letter: Dog-bonding
Sir: In reply to the open letter "Dear Dog" (15 June), we feel that the mere fact that dogs require more attention than cats is proof of their superiority. Rather like the parent-baby bond, the human-dog bond requires a lifetime's commitment but provides a lifetime's satisfaction. Thus, many people do not feel worthy of such animals, and consequently their numbers are outnumbered by cats.
