Letter: Europe: to stay in or to leave

Sir: Is there any hope that those loosely bandying around threats of withdrawing from the European Union might at some stage remember the benefits of 50 years of peace in Europe? Celebrating VE- Day next year will be meaningless, if at the same time we divide and separate.

Careless talk might yet again cost lives.
