Letter: Fantasies of wealth
Sir: I am perplexed, disappointed and angry but not surprised that no religious leader, socialist or newspaper editor has expressed opposition on moral grounds to a national lottery. Is it right that the cultural life and charities of the country should depend on sad fantasies of unearned wealth? Does no one see this as a sign of moral decay?
Yours sincerely,
HAROLD HILLMAN
