Letter: Fayed's populism strikes a chord

Sir: A sentence was omitted from the letter that you published from me yesterday, which may have left some ambiguity.

I would like to make clear that there is no substance to the suggestion that I am a political mentor to Mohamed al-Fayed or that I have been involved in any plans to create a new political party.
