Letter: Government under fire: calls for coalitions, resignations and public demonstrations

Sir: In reply to Sue Dickinson's letter (17 October), I think so much sadness about the miners' plight (and so with all the other unemployed people) is that we, the electorate, can do nothing effective to influence the Government. This is demonstrated daily by their actions and words. I feel nothing but despair.
