YOUR story 'McGregor to step down as press watchdog' (7 March) contains inaccuracies. The Press Standards Board of Finance (Pressbof) has not 'made it clear that Lord McGregor's contract will not be renewed' when it ends in December. We are not 'looking for a successor' and do not regard Lord McGregor as 'politically untenable'. As Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission he has the full confidence of our Directors.
