Letter: Nobody cheered Liverpool's dead at Highbury

I HAVE never before read such a powerful account of the events of 15 April 1989 as in William Leith's column. The final paragraph brought back all the emotions and tears.

I am a Liverpudlian and Liverpool supporter, and although I was not at Hillsborough, I, like many thousands of others, will never forget that day.

The final paragraph conjured up such powerful and violent images of the events of that day and of how the tragedy was to affect the whole nation eventually - including those ignorant fans at Highbury.
