Letter: Passion for fashion

Sir: Following criticism of the Independent's coverage of the London Fashion Week, I was disturbed to see today's front-page photograph.

If the fashion houses and their customers have no better taste than to ape the elegance - and the starvation - of the women living in the Horn of Africa, surely this need not be endorsed by the Independent?
