Letter: Pay rise taxes the public's patience

Sir: I note with interest the MPs' reasons for voting themselves a 38 per cent increase in salary. Very similar arguments were discounted when the Government imposed a salary cut for NHS dentists.

I can only hope that our MPs will mull over this issue during their three months' holiday.
