Letter: Police beat out of time with rave laws

Sir: In response to George Griffith's letter (3 August) about his rave-up in a barn, Mr Griffiths has the right to party all night if he so wishes, but he should not expect others around him to follow suit. He was born into a free society and is free to pollute himself, but he is not free to harm others by polluting the air.

There are plenty of purpose- built discos and night clubs that are available for hire - why not utilise these, or better still, take a responsible attitude to his work and life by sleeping through the night (which is a natural thing

to do)?

Yours sincerely,

M. LIGHTFOOT
