Letter: Recognition for the red dragon

Sir: Eiddwen Harrhy would love to see a Welsh dragon on the Union flag (Letters, 1 March). I can think of nothing more demeaning to Wales than having a tiny, weeny little dragon stuck on to the Red, White and Blue. The dragon predates the Union flag, and I value its independent stance - the most apt symbol for an independent nation.

Yours faithfully,
