Letter: The folly of losing the May Day bank holiday in favour of Trafalgar Day

Sir: What a mistake to say that religious dates for public holidays are out of place in a mixed society. When I was in Malaya, we had Malaya holidays, Tamil holidays, Chinese holidays as well as British ones. Lovely] Let's have as many as possible here.
