Letter: Tim Yeo's downfall: exercise of confused standards by the Government

Sir: As the clamour for the head of Tim Yeo grew, I couldn't help noticing the lack of similar pressure on Julia Stent (the mother of Mr Yeo's illegitimate daughter) to resign her council seat. Is this a case of chivalric protection of a woman 'wronged' or simply good old- fashioned double-standards?
