Letter: Weary times for nurses
READING the interview with Maria ('My exhaustion is killing my patients', 24 April), I realise the lot of junior hospital staff has not changed in the 30 years since I did my first house job. The 120-hour week was common and it could go up to 130. I dare say the people in power don't often find their lives in the hands of exhausted doctors. Perhaps if they did things would quickly change.
