Letter: What is true of Reagan is not true of all Americans
HAVING spent the last two years in the US I agree with everything John Carlin said in his blistering critique of that country. Sadly he missed the most important point of all - that Britain is becoming a clone of everything we so despise about America. The Blair government is a thinly disguised version of the circus which passes for democracy in Washington - exploitation of those most vulnerable, the influence of a powerful and wealthy minority, spindoctors who make policy on the run, a sickly fascination for the rich, famous, and dysfunctional etc etc.
