Letter: Who's angry? Yes, Hell is here on earth

Sir: You say in your leading article ('The value of doubting David', 15 December), that the Church of England's (diocesan) bishops are appointed by the Prime Minister on the sovereign's behalf. On the contrary, they are appointed by the sovereign on the advice of the Prime Minister.
