LETTERS: Paying other people's bills

SO THE young think that the old will be a burden to them and they will resent paying taxes to fund state pensions in the future ("Tomorrow belongs to them", 1 October). If that is the case, then as a childless man, I would resent every single penny that I have paid in taxation that has gone towards funding the free, state-provided education that these young people have enjoyed and I would have to start agitating for a halt to all such future contributions and a refund of those already paid.
