YOUR map under the title 'The battle for Europe' (9 January) shows, inter alia, the Nato countries in Europe marked in dark grey. Yet, While Greece is shaded, the islands of Rhodes, Lesvos, Chios and Crete (a very important base of the southeastern flank of Nato) are shown in white.
