YOUR reporter Stepehn Castle stated that the Royal Mail has backed Michael Heseltine's proposals ('Sell-off could cripple Royal Mail profits', 23 October). In fact, the vast majority of the citizens who own the Royal Mail are known to oppose privatisation. What Mr Castle really means is that privatisation of this publicly owned service is favoured by certain executive employees who stand to gain financially.
