Bishop Pursglove School in Tideswell, Derbyshire, may be struggling on pounds l,177/pupil, but my wife is to manage a Dorset school expected to survive on pounds 909/pupil ("Cash-strapped school...", 19 May). And why do politicians think children in some counties should have as much as two and a quarter times more money spent on them?
