That's rich!
CHARLES Oulton ("The village of the names", Review, 19 March) states that rather than the "spectacularly rich, most of the money that has been lost is middle-class money".
Foolishly, I had thought that owning a farm as a hobby, getting drunk on Chteau Lafitte and owning £60,000 diamond bracelets were the preserves of the rich. In the light of your article, however, I shall be reassessing class and wealth. My sympathy for the bankrupt rich who believed they could gamble without losing remains limited.
