Sir: Further to your article, "Ford withdraws 200,000 Fiestas" (2 March), it occurred to me that the affected cars are six or seven years old and during that time must have been subject to at least three MOT tests.
Is it not of some concern that cars with suspect seat belts are apparently able to pass successive MOTs?
