Not for kids

Brooklyn-based designer Mark McGinnis has created a series of super-cute, and rather subversive, silk-screen posters for London interiors shop SCP. It's a limited run – there are just 100 prints of each letter – and all are signed by the artist. Available online, and framed in-store. From £90; visit scp.co.uk

Licence to drive

It's been 50 years since James Bond first rolled onto our screens. To celebrate, Hampshire's National Motor Museum is showing the original cars, boats, sleds, motorbikes and jets from the films – including the car/submarine Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me. From Tuesday; beaulieu.co.uk

Gypsy passion

Czech photographer Josef Koudelka spent the Sixties documenting Roma communities in Europe. This classic series was originally published in a book called Cikani; now a bigger, lavish edition of Gypsies has been issued – essential for any photography fan. £48; thamesandhudson.co.uk

Sounds like Sunday

Bass supremo Herbie Flowers and his expansive jazz ensemble are putting on a series of Sunday morning sessions at Brighton Dome. For just £6, tuck into a selection of coffee, croissants and weekend papers, and drink in the sounds. From 5 February; brightondome.org

Jewel purpose

In search of a bauble to cheer up your January? Lucy Hutchings has just added a more affordable range to her line of fabulous statement jewellery. The 'caged' mini-pendants, from £24.95, are our personal favourites. Lucyhutchings.com

Status quo

Soho institution Quo Vadis is about to re-open its kitchen doors after a refurb, with Blueprint café chef Jeremy Lee now at the helm. "I've always wanted a restaurant/bar/bakery, which is what this will be," says Lee. And the food? "Plain, simple, lovely fare." Quovadissoho.co.uk
