Architecture Update: Flat fit for a prince
IN Park Lane, Mayfair, the Sultan of Brunei is converting the former Playboy Club (a building designed in part by Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus) into a luxury flat rumoured to be for his brother Prince Jefri. The conversion, by the architects Scott Brownrigg & Turner, features five bedrooms on the fourth floor, and a library, study, sitting room, a bathroom opening on to a hair salon, two dressing rooms and a master bedroom on the third floor.
