The arts agenda for the week of November 23 includes ST-ART, the second largest contemporary art fair in France will take place in Strasbourg, and the Sammlung Goetz gallery in Munich showing works by German artist Andreas Hofer.

A major exhibition of works by German artist Andreas Hofer will be presented at the Sammlung Goetz in Munich, Germany from November 2009 to April 2010. More than 70 individual artworks, including sculptures, installations, drawings, collages and large-scale pieces in mixed media, will be shown in the gallery. The exhibition will be curated by the artist himself and will delve into the subjects of imagination and iconography in contemporary popular culture.

ST-ART European Contemporary Art Fair

The 14th edition of the European Contemporary Art Fair in Strasbourg is focused on making contemporary art available to everyone. Over 100 galleries will exhibit works from all over the globe. Organizers hope to empower new-time purchasers and returning art collectors by giving them the possibility to purchase artworks made by artists who are embracing and creating new art movements throughout Europe and the rest of the world. In 2009 five of the most influential Istanbul galleries will participate as invited guests of honor as part of the Season of Turkey in France.

Medicine and Art: Imagining a Future for Life and Love explores the fascinating world of the human body. The exhibition juxtaposes works by famous contemporary artists and great masters to reveal both familiar and unfamiliar images of the body. Works from Damien Hirst, Jan Fabre and Gilles Barbier will be featured alongside medical artifacts from the Wellcome Collection, historic Japanese art and anatomical sketches by Leonardo da Vinci.

GSK Contemporary: Earth

"Earth: Art of a changing world" will be held during the second annual contemporary art season in collaboration with GSK Contemporary 2009. The exhibition is presented by the Royal Academy of Arts and will showcase new artworks from over 30 contemporary artists. The featured artworks will comment on the earth's changing climate. The exhibition interconnects issues surrounding the climate change debate with art that reflects the topic and intrinsically embodies the way in which artists have responded to the topic.

6th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary art

The Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art is the only major exhibition to exclusively showcase contemporary art hailing from Asia, the Pacific and Australia. The Triennial has been running since 1993 and boasted an attendance of over 700,000 visitors in 2006. The exhibition will feature more than 100 works from artists hailing from more than 25 countries located in the Asia Pacific region.

Turner Prize winner announced

The Turner Prize is a contemporary art award given to a British artist under the age of 50. One of four shortlisted artists for 2009 will be awarded the prestigious Turner Prize on December 7. Enrico David, Roger Hiorns, Lucy Skaer and Richard Wright are the hopeful candidates for this year's award - one of which will be selected for the prize by judges Mariella Frostrup, Charles Esche, Jonathan Jones and Andrea Schlieker. A selection of works created by the artists is on show at the Tate Britain until January 3 2010.
