Daniel Radcliffe has taken a swipe at NFL star Tom Brady for his past support of Donald Trump.

The Harry Potter star was being interviewed by Variety when he flippantly told Brady to “take that MAGA hat out of your locker” in reference to the Make American Great Again cap that was seen in the New England Patriots quarterback’s possession during Trump’s campaign in 2015.

“I feel like that was the moment when we were like, as a country, ‘Oh, come on, dude... you’re awesome and [we’re] behind you, don’t put that in there,’” said Radcliffe.

Radcliffe, who was promoting new series Miracle Workers at Sundance Film Festival, revealed he’ll be supporting the Los Angeles Rams at Super Bowl 53, which takes place on 3 February.

He said: “The whole world is rooting against the Patriots – sorry.”

Brady, who sided with Trump on a number of occasions ahead of his presidency, reportedly once referred to his MAGA hat as a “nice keepsake”.

In recent years, he seems to have gone back on his support of Trump, telling reporters the day after his presidential victory that his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, told him he “can’t talk about politics anymore”.
