In A Walk Among The Tombstones a drug dealer needs to hire a private investigator to find out who kidnapped and killed his wife. There was really only one man to call.

Having shown a skill for hunting down kidnappers at any cost in Taken and Taken 2, Neeson returns as a mean, aloof but focused type, who pieces together clues and punches people in bars until he gets answers.

Boyd Holbrook, Dan Stevens and Ruth Wilson also feature in the the film, which is an adaptation of the 1992 novel of the same name by Lawrence Block.

Oscar-nominated screenwriter Scott Frank (Out of Sight, Minority Report) will direct the film, which while a fairly straightforward thriller does look a little more artful from the trailer than the likes of Taken.

A Walk Among The Tombstones has a cinema release date of 19 September.
