Tommy Wiseau has revealed what he would have said had James Franco not blocked him from using the microphone during his now-controversial winner's speech at the Golden Globes .
Franco was receiving the trophy for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for his portrayal of Wiseau in The Disaster Artist at the ceremony when he invited the director and star of cult classic The Room - deemed by many to be one of the best-loved worst films of all time - on stage.
As he made his way to the podium, Wiseau attempted to take the microphone from Franco who prevented him from doing so. Instead, he dived straight into his winner's speech.
Following the ceremony, Wiseau told The Los Angeles Times what he would have said should he have been given the floor:
“If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live. See The Room, have fun, and enjoy life. The American Dream is alive, and it's real.”
Franco's speech addressed how Wiseau was inspired to make The Room after being stuck in traffic caused by the Golden Globes 19 years ago.

“Nineteen years ago, this guy was stuck in traffic from the Golden Globes, he said to his best friend Greg [Sestero], 'Golden Globes? So what, I'm not invited. I know they don't want me, guy with accent, long hair, so I show them. I don't wait for Hollywood, I make my own movie.
Franco's win has since come under fire following accusations of sexual misconduct with many women highlighting the actor's hypocrisy in attending the ceremony while wearing a 'Time's Up' pin in support of victims of harassment.
