Before the release of her multi-million selling new record 25, it was widely expected that Damon Albarn would feature on Adele’s album.
However, the singer soon revealed the Blur frontman would not appear on the album and that she “regretted” working with him after he branded her “insecure” and “middle of the road”.
Albarn has finally replied, stating that the feud is “not even true”, saying the fact the comments were trending on Twitter was “pathetic”.
He went on to clarify how “[their feud] is not even true: it’s amazing how people will run with stuff that has no credence whatsoever and turn it into something and then watch the reaction.”
However, the 47-year-old failed to clarify how his comments regarding Adele from months prior to the album's release were untrue. He had said at the time: “The thing is, she’s very insecure, and she doesn’t need to be, she’s still so young.”

Adele responded in an interview with Rolling Stone, describing the experience as “one of those ‘don’t meet your idol’ moments”.
“The saddest thing was that I was such a big Blur fan growing up,” she said. “But it was sad and I regret hanging out with him. None of it was right. None of it suited my record.”
Adele also wishes she had not shared her fears about returning to the limelight with a child with Albarn. “He said I was insecure, when I’m the least insecure person I know. I was asking his opinion about my fears, about coming back with a child involved - because he has a child - and then he calls me insecure?”
