Fresh from topping the UK charts with his second album X Ed Sheeran announced this week that he’ll be playing two headline gigs at Wembley Stadium next summer.

The Grammy-nominated 23-year-old from Suffolk, who just happens to be best buddies with Taylor Swift, looks set to sell out the London stadium which can accommodate around 80,000 people.

Tickets go on sale at 9am this morning for the following dates:

Friday July 10 2015

Saturday July 11 2015

You can purchase tickets through Viagogo with prices starting at £69.99.

Solo performers rarely play the huge outdoor stadium and his performance will be the only venue he plays in Europe for 2015.

The "Sing" and "Thinking Out Loud" hitmaker - who appeared at the Royal Variety Performance earlier this month - played to 275,000 people during this year's sell-out arena gigs.

Sheeran said: “I've made no secret recently of my ambition to play Wembley Stadium on my own in front of 80,000 people, so I am absolutely over the moon to be able to announce it's going to happen next summer. It's going to be amazing, I just can't wait.”

Steve Tilley, of promoter Kilimanjaro, said: “Ed's success is an incredible story and it's just an honour to be involved.”
