Lollapalooza: Lorde 'gutted' after bad weather forces her to cancel set
Singer was headlining this year's festival in Chicago
It seems festival-goers just can't catch a break when it comes to the weather this year.
Lorde has expressed her disappointment to fans after a thunderstorm forced her to cancel her headline Lollapalooza set after three songs.
The "Green Light" singer said she was "gutted" after the extreme weather prompted an evacuation of festival guests from Grant Park in Chicago.
Her production manager reportedly walked on stage to deliver the bad news to drenched fans in the crowd.
"I guess the festival has said the weather is too crazy for us to play right now," she told fans on stage.
She later posted on Twitter: "F***s sake. I am so gutted guys I don't know what to tell you.
"They've told us we can't play. I had the most spectacular show planned for you and I PROMISE I will come back to play it as soon as I can."
She also said that she was looking at the possibility of putting on a club show in the city.
Lorde recently released her second album Melodrama to critical praise. She tours the UK from 26 September with support from Khalid.
